Emerging from a multi-generational tradition of fine home building, Stone Acorn Builders is a family-owned and operated home construction company that has been building quality homes since 1999 in Houston - near town and inner loop, Bellaire, West University Place, Braes Heights, Meyerland, Medical Center, South Side Place, Memorial and Spring Branch. Sarah Lavine-Kass and Benjamin Lavine, a sister-brother team, are the creative and technical forces behind Stone Acorn Builders.
Sarah founded Stone Acorn Builders with the goal of creating a custom home-building business that would offer clients a bespoke building experience. Sarah came to the home construction business via a career in law. She received her B.A. from Brown University, her M.I.A. from Columbia University, and her J. D. from the University of Chicago. After a short career practicing law in Houston and her own experience as a homebuyer, Sarah realized the importance of providing a client-centered home-building experience grounded in customer service, attention to detail, creativity, and technical excellence.
After graduating from Southern Methodist University and working in management consulting, Benjamin joined Sarah and has been instrumental in making Stone Acorn Builders the quality construction company it is today. Benjamin is a Certified Graduate Builder and Graduate Master Builder, indicating that he has achieved the technical mastery essential to building only the highest quality home. His technical mastery and friendly, customer-centered focus make Benjamin an excellent partner for customers demanding the finest home-building experience.
Benjamin and Sarah offer a design, selection and construction process centered around their clients based on good communication, a proven selection process, quality construction and integrity.
